Ptinted in a limited edition of 1000 Copies only, this is copy nr. 26 of the "Luristan" Edition, printed on India paper. [ place, nor date] It remains the only translation of the complete Nights, and Burton's magnum opus contributed to the twentieth-century recognition of the "Nights" as one of the world's literary masterpieces. A fine set, the rather plain, but original bindings a trifle dust solied, spines slightly darkened, some wear to heads of spines. A true monument to Burton, as well as the rich literary tradition of the East.
