A nice and elaborate treatise on "how to build a good house in all aspects" Complete with a handfull of formula, on how to perform this "heavenly task". The author was a well known mathematician and architectural conaisseur, nice repeated title engraving by S.L.Matthijs, the folding plates give facades, ceilings, windows, panelling and also bridges( as found at the Amsterdam canals) and pile plans and other construction details. Some thumbing and soiling in places, (small) rubber stamps, lower right hand corner of 1-st & 2-nd blancs torn off. In a nice, somewhat worn, contemporary binding. Not in Fowler. |
