descriptionLeiden, elaborately engraved town plan of this city,in ("birds eye view)famous for it's university. Nice coats of arms, at top left and right, a legenda with 149 numbers. The most important buildings/churches ,superbly engraved.Published in the famous "Toonneel der Steeden" (Town Atlas for the Low Countries)in 1649, to celebrate the independence from the Spanish oppressor.There is Dutch text on verso.
