descriptionThe seated lawyer, in front of his richly filled bookcase , is discussing a case, with two standing man. Above the image the line: " Het stof en slyk der aard, en is den twist niet waard" roughly translated as ; The wordly mud and dust (good & money) is not worth fighting about...) Taken from the book; "Het Menselijk Bedrijf" "100 Ambachten en beroepen" that lived thruogh many editions.
