descriptionA large,Male, Adult Eagle on a branch, with it's beak opened. An impressive bird in an impressive pose, from an esteemed master. This print formed part of the Section "Zoologie" Division of the "Oiseaux" by Jules -Cesar Savigny. Plate 1. According to the catalogue ; "Van Diverse Pluimage" [10 centuries of bird books] "From the Description de l'Egypte, only a very limited number of copies were coloured; They where destined for the inner circle of- and for the Bonapartes themselves(!) As such a remarkable copy.[note; photographed through the glass]
