descriptionA majestic prospect of 17-Th. Century Constantinople, as seen from the river. Richly staffed with various types of ships. In great detail this very impressive Metropolis was captured by the Dutch painter and traveller, Cornelis de Bruyn. All the spires and minarets, the mosques and especially the Aya Sophia depicted here. A most impressive and collectible print. This print was taken from the sought after travel account by de Bruyn: "Reize naar de Levant" [Corn. de Bruyn'ün Yakin - Dogu Gezisi]
