descriptionA vibrant,joyeus ice skating print, richly staffed with figures, situated in Rotterdam, seen towards the east side. At the left, the fierce "Oude Hoofdpoort" gate, at the right, the shipyard of the Admiralty. On the frozen river hunderds of people, sleighs, and the finely decorated Royal Coach , with the Prince- Stadholder, to whom this delicate print is deicated, drawn by 6 horses. The print was published by P.G.van Balen from the Hague.
