description | A fine and wide-spread view at the riverbank at Isphahan, embellished with a number of elegantly dressed man. Some smoking a hookah , some are reading [Qur'an?]. A nive pavillion with an open portico, the roof carried by four rows of columns at the centre. This is plate nr. 43 of "Perse Moderne" This fine print, was taken from Flandin's work; "L'Orient" Flandin was an artist and an antiquary, attached to the French Embassy in Persia. |
